Good morning friends
It's Saturday, and that means it's time for a new challenge at the Crazy4Challenges blog. Our June hostess is Danielle Lounds and here is her challenge: I'm a big fan of trees and over the last handful of years I have planted 6 apple trees around my house. My challenge to you is to plant a tree, er, well, just include a tree or branch on your project. That might be easier. ;) Debra Hensley is our Guest Designer for June.
I made a Thanksgiving card using the Tag Pivot card die designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs, and some pretty embossed and gold foiled patterned paper.
I had picked up this Thanksgiving stamp and label die set in the Spring when I was visiting Arizona ... it's hard to find actual Thanksgiving verses so I grabbed this set.
I also used the stitched edges dies to create some interest on the inside as well as add some stability to the edges since the patterned paper wasn't sturdy enough for my liking.
To cut the label, I stamped Happy Thanksgiving on a strip of white card stock (Using my MISTI!) and then used a portion of the label die to cut just the edges.
To finish the inside, I used more of Karen Burniston's Pop it Ups dies; the All Season's Tree with a sprinkling of die cut leaves (that come with the tree die set) and the small Hay piece that comes with the Hay There Pop Stand set at the base of the tree.
Check out the blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge, and to get the information on our June Guest Designer. We'd sure love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C292.
