C4C277 Bring On The Bling

Good morning friends

It's Saturday, and that means a new challenge at the Crazy4Challenges Blog. This week our hostess Anja gave us the challenge to
Bring On The Bling!

I took 'bling' to mean GLITTER, and used lots of it to make Olivia's 4th Birthday Card from my parents. If you follow my blog, you know that the Children's Wish Foundation sent Olivia and her family to Disney World in early January. She went to see Princesses, but ended up falling in love with Mini Mouse as well. Both sets of Grandparents took holidays so we could go to Florida and be there for Olivia's Wish, and it was a magical time.

Below is a picture of the family at Give Kids The World Village. They have some of the Disney Characters come on certain days, so we went to meet Micky Mouse for photos. Afterwards, Mickey autographed Olivia's Mini Mouse toy, and Ethan's Micky Mouse.

The pink band around Olivia's upper arm is the elastic wrap that holds her medicine pump in place. Well, the pump is worn around her waist (in soft pouch/belts designed by my friend Jane) but the insertion point is in Olivia's upper arm.  She wore her Tinker Bell costume this day. The rest of us are wearing our 'Children's Wish Foundation' tee shirts!

For the card, I used the Accordion Circle to cut the frame and added the Star Frame Edges. These are Karen Burniston dies through Elizabeth Craft Designs. You can use the Accordion dies to make flat cards too - don't you love getting more mileage from your dies? The smaller Decorator Dies that come with the Accordion Circle were used for Mini Mouses' head and ears. They were cut from super sparkly glitter paper.  I also got to break out my new Bow Builder Punch!

I cut two of the Star Frame Edges from yellow fun foam, thinking they might make a fun border. But it was hard to adhere and keep in a straight line, so instead I used yellow card stock but attached some of the cutaway fun foam stars to decorate the corners.

Inside, I used the ECD Alpha die to cut Olivia's name from the red glitter paper. The rest of the greeting was computer generated.

Check out the blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge.  We'd sure love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C277.
