Making this card just made me happy.
Butterflies, Dies, Aqua, - what's not to love?
The creamy yellow card base is 5x7, from a package I found at WalMart. It has a matching envelope, which always makes for such a nice set.
Supplies: Baja Breeze (SU) cardstock and ribbon, and SU lace. Butterfly dies - Spellbinders. All patterned papers - Prima.
I added a birthday verse inside the card after I took this photo, as my Mom wanted a card for our daughter's upcoming birthday and I knew she'd like this one. (Mom can't get out to buy cards anymore so I keep her supplied).
Funny how it works. I make a card that makes me happy, give it to my Mom - who really likes it, who gives it to my daughter who will keep it up on her fridge for a long time. Win Win Win!!
Speaking of winning and happiness, my PTI order arrived today!!!! I'm going to ignore the huge shipping cost, AND the fact that I had to pay additional duty/taxes at the post office. It's enough to make most people cringe, but I'm not going to let that colour my excitement over my new dies and stamps. I've waited a long time to be able to place that order and I'm thrilled with my purchases.
The seed packet die makes the most ADORABLE little envelopes, which - I discovered last night - is the perfect size for both ATC's and business cards, a cheque or folded cash. Woo Hoo. I'm not going to have a chance to play with my supplies for a few days, but I'll be thinking of ways to use them when I can get back into my studio.
Thanks for stopping by today!
