C4C 288

It's Saturday, and that means it's time for a new challenge at the Crazy4Challenges blog. Our May hostess is Barbara Anders and this is her challenge this week:
School is about out and vacations are either planned or being planned. What would be your ideal vacation spot? Beach, mountains, backyard? Whatever your destination is, let's create a card or project using it as your inspiration.

One of our favourite vacations was an Alaskan cruise years ago. That is one trip I would do again in a heart beat ... so I made a Pop it Ups card with an 'Alaskan scenery theme'.

Rather than make a Pop Up card, I made a flat card with a decorated interior and the bear is on a spinner. He spins up and into view when the card is opened. The spinner die comes with the Rectangle Pull card, which was designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

I used the Outdoor Edges for the treeline and the lakeshore. While it's hard to see in the photo, the bear has a fuzzy muzzle! I used an ECD Velvet Adhesive sheet for that.

For an added touch, I added some fish bones from Karen Burniston's Props 4 die set, to mimic the bears fishing for salmon in Alaska. Below you can see how I positioned the Spinner.

Check out the blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge.  We'd sure love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C288.
