Wobbly Snowman Christmas Cards

I had SO much fun making these four cards. And playing with them afterwards.  :-)

The die cut snowman and stamps are from Papertrey Ink. I FINALLY got to use them. I cut them out one evening, added the Stickles glitter glue and Glossy Accents and left them overnight. Everything was good and dry the next morning (I have a tendency to hurry things and smear the still-wet glitter glue) and I assembled the snowmen. I tried the arms both ways - 'inside' the mittens and 'outside'. They are probably supposed to go 'inside', but I think the little stick fingers are too cute to hide so I went with outside for 3 of the four cards.

I love the shine on the buttons from the Glossy Accents.  The little red banner is by Martha Stewart, stamped with a Papertrey Ink word stamp.  I'm not sure who makes the patterned paper, but if you need to know - leave me a comment and I'll get back to you.  Normally I would pop this cutie onto the card with foam tape. Not this time - and this is where the fun comes in. I used Action Wobbles!!!  I picked up 10 of them at the Mesa Rubber Stamp Show last March, and finally got to use them.

Essentially, they are a spring - so the snowman wiggles and wobbles and BOING'S on the card front. Seriously - how fun is that?

The snowman is raised up from the front panel just like I had used foam tape, so you know that makes me happy.

I used my large cards from Michaels for the card bases, so the cards are 5 x 6.5. The hardest part about these, is deciding who is going to get one!

Of course, as soon as I made these cards - my hoarding kicked in. I only had TEN of the Action Wobbles and I'd already used FOUR of them. AACK.  Thanks to Ebay I have another package on it's way to me so I can feel free to use the remaining six Action Wobbles. Whew.

Thanks for stopping by today.

  2. Wow, this is a fun card! I'll have to look for some of those Action Wobbles. I love your snowman. He is so handsome and I agree that his fingers need to be seen. I'm so glad you shared this card with Merry Monday!
