Dynamic Duos Challenge 15 Card

I got the last of the Christmas stamps peeled off their wood yesterday afternoon, so after supper I went down to the studio to make a card for the latest Dynamic Duo's challenge.

I was just itching to use my new Mixed Bunch punch/stamp set, but with the perfect patterned paper (Recollections) I ended up just using the bloom punch.  I punched it twice, once from the pink dotted paper and once from the green leafy print. Because I wanted a layered look, I cut the green flower apart and attached each petal behind the pink one with a little dab of glue. I was happy with the way it turned out!

The patterned paper was too lightweight to be raised up on it's own, so I attached it to a same sized panel of white card stock and then used the foam tape to pop it up on the card front.

I cut a panel of the green print paper and layered it with a white one for the inside as well. I used a circle punch (Stampin' Up) and the patterned paper for the center of the flower, and tied on a little pink button with pink Bakers Twine.

I went to upload the card last night, and see that I missed the deadline for the challenge!!!  It was at noon yesterday. Haha, probably a good thing I didn't know that as I have lots of paperwork to do and I wouldn't have accomplished nearly as much if I'd been down in the studio.  ;-)

My cousin from Nova Scotia called me yesterday as she is coming West for a visit and would like to order 20 cards. This one is going right into her pile.

Thanks for stopping by today!
