Dynamic Duo Challenge #9

I hope to spend some time in my studio this week, and while I won't attempt to play catch up with challenges and comments, I do plan on participating a bit more than I was able to last month. Sounds like our 2nd Grandchild is very anxious to make it into this world though, so if I disappear for a bit it's because I'm helping out.

Today's post is for the Dynamic Duo challenge. This week we get to choose our 2nd colour - and the first one is Crumb Cake. I don't have any of that (it's a Stampin' Up colour), but you know how much I enjoy Kraft card stock, so that is what I went with!

I made a set of five A2 cards, using kraft as the card base. I found the paper flowers on clearance at Michaels last year, and they were just sitting there waiting for this project. As a bonus, the white embossed panels were ones I had made up for another card set and decided I didn't like them after all. So they were just sitting in my 'Odds & Sods' pile.

While not all of the cards qualify for the challenge because of the green leaves ... the one above certainly does!

The beautiful seam binding is by Martha Stewart - I am crazy about that stuff. Haha, I can feel a Stampin' Up order coming on.  I know these aren't exactly MAIL FRIENDLY, but with a covering of foam and some extra postage they could go through. I expect to use them for cards that will be hand delivered.

I have lots of pictures to sort through, but will post some of our Most Amazing Trip to Israel when I have them ready. Meanwhile, to all my fellow Canadians -

Happy Canada Day!!
