"Merry Monday Sketch with a Twist!
I chose Sketch 25 for my two (identical) Christmas Cards this week.
My cards are 5 x 6.5", and the blue harlequin patterned paper and 'Believe' square are from a Christmas Card kit. The patterned card was slightly smaller than an A2, so I cut it apart to give me two patterned panels, then trimmed them to work with the sketch.
I used a square instead of a circle, and my Spellbinders die for the fancy cut out. What a PITA that die is. It cuts through the card stock no problem (with a shim) but trying to get the cut out of the die is an exercise in frustration. Then you have to poke all the spare bits left in the die, with an awl. I don't use this die very often, for that reason. But I do like the cut when it is finally ready to use!
I like to use snowflakes over the holidays, so punched a snowflake out of white card stock and embellished it with a flat metallic sticker for a little 'bling'.
Thanks for stopping by today!
a simple card- but so nice
