Karen Burniston's September 2015 Designer Challenge - Card #2

Good morning friends

It's time for Karen Burniston's Designer Challenge! Celebrate! - interpret the theme however you want. Any type of joyful card meant to celebrate an accomplishment, milestone, birthday, new baby, etc. As An added twist, incorporate the Frame Edges on your project.

For my second project I decided to make a fall decoration for our dining room hutch, using the Accordion Circle and the Square with Circle Frame Edges. Here is my finished piece, which says FAMILY:

To create the medallions, I scored between each scallop on the scallop circle accessory die and lightly folded each one alternating between a mountain and valley folds. Then the edges were inked and they were adhered with a double layer of foam tape in the centres. The beige circles were cut from the circle accessory die in the Spiral Circle Pull Card set.

I drew the letters on card stock, added colour and Glitter Dots then fussy cut them out. The frame Edges were inked before adhering, and I added Glitter Dots at each corner to resemble rivets.

The decorations were in my stash - and it was fun going through the package and choosing which ones I liked the best.

I chose not to decorate the back, as it will sit on the buffet with the back towards the wall.

People usually like to see the top view of an Accordion project, so here you go!

Be sure to check out the rest of the Designer Challenge Team - their blogs are linked on the right. You will see there is a new addition - Sandy Diller! This will be her first official Designer Challenge, although she has been playing along for a very long time.

Karen Burniston will have her post for the challenge on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog on Wednesday morning. Check back tomorrow to see my second card for the challenge.
