Karen Burniston's November Designer Challenge - Second Card

Good morning friends.

Today's share is the second card I made for Karen Burniston's November 2014 Designer Challenge. She asked us to make a card that was all red, all blue, or all white.  I did all three! The all blue card was posted yesterday and the all white card will be tomorrow's share.

I love the Spiral Circle Pull Card die. Love it. So I had to use it for a fun red Christmas card that sports a red Honey Bear.  Honey bobs and wobbles on the front because he is attached with an Action Wobble.

I tried to get a picture of Honey wobbling, but couldn't get one that worked.  Honey's shadow layer is a red pearlized card stock and it catches the light when the card is turned. I loved the monochromatic look! But when I went to attach Honey to the card, he blended in too much so I outlined the outer edge with a fine point gold marker.

The little gift and tree are dies that come with the Evergreen Pivot, and I used the Outdoor Edges to create the border on either side of the card. Those Outdoor Edges are such versatile dies - I use them SO much!

The little candy cane I've had in my stash for years - I have a small package of them that I found when I was packing up the studio. Now I will remember I have them!

I penned the words inside with the same gold marker, added glitter glue to the word BEARY, and added another die cut present for good measure.

The white tree is hidden when the card is closed (using those tuck slots that I love so much) but shows up when the card is pulled open. I thought it would be a fun place to add our signature and a short note.

To finish off the front, I added a glitter Peel-Off border to either side in red/gold.

Make sure to check out the rest of the Designer Challenge Team to see their creations for this challenge - they are linked on the right side of my blog. Karen Burniston will have her post on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog tomorrow!  Can't wait to see what she came up with.
