I can get to almost everything in my studio again so I wanted to play along with a challenge this week. It's been a while since I've made a Christmas card, so I chose the "Merry Monday Sketch Challenge #62". Of course I was itching to incorporate one of my new dies too, so went with the Sizzix Scottie Dog die.
Here is the sketch:
I used a paper punch on scraps of the polka dotted paper to make the little circles like on the sketch. That keeps it nice and flat for mailing.
The fussy cut snowflake is adhered with a SU Dimensional over the knot in the Bakers Twine bow. That will keep the knot from punching through the envelope! The Scottie Dog is popped up with the same dimensionals - I love how they give dimension without too much lift.
Since the main words are on the front of the card, I added a bold Merry Christmas inside, as well as a patterned paper panel and a polka dot die cut bone. :-) Looking at the pictures, I'm thinking I might just tie a little piece of red Bakers Twine around the bone too.
Since I had everything out anyhow, I made two identical cards! These are 6.5 x 5" cards, and are cream not white.
Into my Christmas card stash with these two!
