I needed to make a card yesterday (for sanity's sake) but of course it had to also be quick and easy. I dug the orange and pink patterned paper strip out of my scrap bin and this the card I came up with:
The butterfly was cut out of white card stock, then I stippled orange and pink ink on it so it would match the patterned paper. The butterfly base was cut from a pink glossy card stock scrap, and I used my iRock tool to adhere gems to the center of the butterfly. The two were joined together in the center only so I could lift the wings.
Papertrey Ink makes the scallop die and the wonderful Canyon Clay orange card stock. My new favourite colour. The stamp is by Paper Smooches.
I am entering this card into the open challenge at "Flutter By Wednesday's". I'm sure they get tired of my CAS cards over there, as there are some really fancy entries every week. But hey - I have a butterfly on my card and it qualifies! We got to see the wedding venue yesterday, and it is so pretty! Now that we are into February the countdown is ON!
Thanks for stopping by today.
