Crazy 4 Challenges (C4C239) Masculine Card

Good morning friends!

There is a new challenge on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog today, and Peggy McCurry is our hostess for June.  This week the challenge is:  MAN MADE

"How many of us need more masculine cards in our stash? Have some men/boys that have a birthday coming up? A special sport event? Graduation? Father’s Day is just around the corner too! So let’s see some masculine cards/projects!"

I have a masculine birthday card for the challenge ...

... a masculine Pop it Ups card!

I used the All Season's Tree with the clouds/foliage. This die set gets SO much use - not just from me, but all the Karen Burniston Designer Challenge Team!

The images were stamped on white card stock, coloured and blended with pencils and fussy cut. Then they were attached to the Lots of Pops pop up base.

The grass from the Garden Bench was cut several times and attached at the bottom edge.

We would sure love you to play along with the challenge, and link up your project. Be sure to check out what the rest of the Crazies have come up with for the challenge, at the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.  (If you link up to an on-line gallery, please use the keyword C4C239.)

Sparkling Floral Flip-It

Good morning friends!

It's Flip-It Friday here on my blog, and I have a sparkly Birthday Flip-It card to share today.  I purchased a package of this glittered floral paper for a REALLY good price, simply because I knew it would make wonderful birthday cards for Seniors Secret Service

I have SO many 'Odds & Sods' laying around my studio ... this rosette is one of them. Actually there are several rosette's in the pile, but this one matched the background perfectly, so I grabbed it right away.

I cut matching framelits for the layers, and added a small one on the inside right as a place for a signature. It is hidden when the card is closed. This paper is completely embedded with glitter, so there is nowhere on the card to add a signature, unless you write on the back.

Since we are back from holidays, I am going to concentrate on using UP some of my 'Odds and Sods' pile on birthday cards to donate to Seniors Secret Service. I figure it's a win-win for all of us!

Supplies used:
Majestic Flip It - Stephanie Barnard (Sizzix)
Majestic 2 Framelits - Stephanie Barnard (Sizzix)
Patterned paper - Heidi Grace
White card stock
Rosette die - Tim Holtz (Sizzix)
Beaded embellishment from my stash
Stamped words - Stampendous

Flowers & Hearts Anniversary Card

Good morning friends!

I have an Anniversary card to share today ...

This one has a window cut out of the front, using one of the heart decorator dies that come with the Heart Pivot (also a Pop it Ups die by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs). I covered the opening with a scrap of transparancy (from the back) and a piece of patterned paper with a Peel-Off open heart on it. This blends in with the card, but the transparency catches the light as the card is turned.

For the inside, I used the Lucy Label Pop Up die, and I added some more hearts and a punched banner decorated with small Peel-Offs.

The smallest heart is brushed with my Wink of Stella pen ...

Supplies used:
Card size:  5" sqare
Patterned paper - Carta Bella's 'Beautiful Moments' by Carina Gardner
Lucy Label - Pop it Ups, Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Heart Pivot (Hearts) - Pop it Ups, Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Heart Peel Offs - 0490 Elizabeth Craft Designs
Transparency Scrap
Banner punch - Stampin' Up
Wink of Stella
Word stamp - The Stamps of Life (Stephanie Barnard)

Mother's Day Stand-Up Card

Good morning friends!

I have a Stand-Up card to share today, using more of that beautiful paper from Stampin' Up's last Sale-A-Bration. Since my Mother-In-Law was visiting when my Cheery Lynn envelope arrived containing the die, I thought I would use it so I could show her a completed card.

The butterfly was created with patterned paper for the silhouette, Shimmer Sheetz for the overlay and Black Velvet for the body.  (Note - be sure to use a metal adapter plate when you cut Shimmer Sheetz.)

I added a stamped white panel inside, over the patterned paper and another die cut & layered butterfly.

I was so happy with how this card turned out, and my Mother-In-Law emailed me to let me know how much she liked it!

Supplies used:
Stand-Up Card die - Cheery Lynn Designs
Patterned paper -  Stampin' Up
White card stock
Butterfly - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Butterfly Overlay - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Small Butterfly - Elizabeth Craft Designs
White Shimmer Sheetz - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Black Velvet Adhesive Sheets - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Stitched Label die - Paper Smooches
Butterfly trail stamp - Lawn Fawn
Words inside - CC Designs

Lovely Birthday Pivot Card

Good morning friends!

I have a Pivot Birthday card to share today ... I just adored the colours in this patterned paper.

I used the top branches of the All Season's Tree for the branches on the Katie Labels, and dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs for the flowers. Glitter dots were added to the flower centers.

The words were stamped on a scrap from the patterned paper - it had the scalloped border printed on it so I really wanted to use it. I tied it with Bakers Twine and popped it up with foam tape.

Once I was finished though, I could see that the card felt a little flimsy. So I added some paper strips to the back ... one across the bottom back and the other one vertically beside the fold. Instant stability!

This one is going into my Birthday Card stash.

Supplies used:
Card size - 4-1/2 x 6"
Katie Label Pivot - Pop it Ups, Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
All Seasons Tree (branches) - Pop it Ups, Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Pattern paper - Adorn It
Birthday stamps - My Favorite Things
Bakers Twine
Flowers - 728 Bunch of Flowers, Elizabeth Craft Designs
7018 Glitter Dots, Elizabeth Craft Designs
