Good morning friends
Today I can share some of Karen Burniston's new Pop it Ups dies!!! They were released at the Collins show this past weekend, and this is one of the cards I made for the show. Can you guess the theme of the new release? Ha!
Oh. My. Goodness, you have to see what the Designer Challenge Team has been coming up with using this new Barn Pop Stand. AMAZING! Karen Burniston thinks of everything when she is designing the Pop it Ups dies and the barn doors even open and close. Yes they do.
However, I used the barn differently for this card, adhering it directly to the back of the card and using the Bathtub Pop Stand as a trough. Brownie the Cow (one of the new Characters) is attached to the Bathtub with the spinner from the Rectangle Pull card. The Pop it Ups collection all works together seamlessly.
I'm partial to cows. There is absolutely no reason for this, but I even love watching them when we are driving in the country. Brownie the Cow Character has such a cute expression - you are going to be seeing her a lot from me. Don't say I didn't warn you! I've already made a Mother's Day and a Birthday card with her and there are lots more ideas in the works.
I used woodgrain patterned paper for the trough and filled it with the little hay bales. Below you can see how I positioned the spinner. To get the cowhide look, I printed paper from a digital scrapbooking kit. Then attached it to the ECD Double Sided Adhesive tape and die cut Brownie's detail layer. Easy Peasy, and each (Holstein) Brownie cow looks slightly different.
This is such a fun release - make sure you check out what the rest of the Designer Challenge Team has been coming up with!!
