Eiffel Tower Shaker Card

Good morning friends

Today I am sharing a card made with some of Karen Burniston's new Pop it Up dies for Elizabeth Craft Designs. The 2015 CHA die release has been so much fun to play with ...  this is the first card I made as soon as I got my dies snipped apart. We can now share our creations with this new die release, so be sure to watch Karen Burniston's blog (click HERE) and the Designer Challenge Team Blogs (see sidebar to the right) to see all the fun new dies and what you can do with them.

The Eiffel Tower is one of the new dies, and while I used it flat here - it starts a new Pop it Up category ... Pop Stands. The Designer Challenge Team has made some cool cards with this die standing up, wait til you see them!  I cut mine out of black card stock and pink iridescent Shimmer Sheetz - using the metal adapter plate for the SSheetz. Then I attached the layers together so it would be nice and sturdy, with a bit of a shadow when looked at from the side.

I cut a circle out of the green striped panel so I could make the front a shaker, filling the area with star sequins and heart confetti. Not sure where all my 'hole-less' beads ended up when we packed up my studio at the old house. The 'Merci' was hand lettered before I added the transparency and filler.  *To see how I used the green striped circle that was cut away, see THIS post.

LOOK at this beautiful new Paris Edger. WOW - it is going to get a lot of use as it works for so many different looks.

We have a been at Disney World for the past week - the Children's Wish Foundation granted Olivia's Wish to meet Princesses. Both sets of Grandparents booked holidays so we could be there for Olivia's Wish. It was such an amazing gift for our daughter's family - first the planning as it gave them all something to talk about besides Olivia's disease (Pulmonary Hypertension). The memories we have of the trip are priceless - I encourage you to donate to the CWF, as the work they do to help families is nothing short of miraculous.

THANK YOU,  THANK YOU,  THANK YOU - from the bottom of our hearts.
