Black and White Pop 'N Cut Cards

I'm having a lazy Saturday morning, sitting with a cofffee (my one cup a week) and answering emails. All of a sudden I realized I haven't done a post for today, so here we go ... it's time for a Pop 'n Cut card share!

These two Birthday cards are going into the box of cards I'm donating to Seniors Secret Service next week.  (Click HERE to read more about the organization).

First of all, I have to apologize for the crummy photos. It was my first time using Lightroom to edit them and obviously I needed to practice more. I edited a couple of card groups at the same time, so unfortunately there will be a couple more like this.  I'm getting better at it - really!

The interesting thing about these Pop 'n Cut cards, is that they are 4 x 6"!  I VERY carefully trimmed down the Wavy Label insert to fit into the 4 x 12" card base and added the polka dot strip to hide the seam.  I mentioned having a whole pile of envelopes for  4 x 6" cards, so plan on using them for my donation cards.  They make such a nice sized card!

The beautiful papers are glittery and embossed and heavy weight - these cards are MUCH prettier in real life. They'd even show up prettier if I'd done a better job with the editing, ha ha.

I'm sure the Seniors will enjoy the shimmer and shine, not to mention the POP UP effect. I used some scraps of glitter paper and a slot punch for the butterfly bodies.

(Remember that you can always see my Sizzix Flip-it, Pop N Cut and Accordion Flip cards by looking on the right side of my blog under LABELS then scrolling down to the 'S' section.)

Supplies:

Karen Burniston's Pop 'N Cut base and the Wavy Label insert (Sizzix)
Karen Burniston's Wavy Label Framelet set (Sizzix)
Words, Glitter paper, Butterfly punch and Slot punch - Stampin' Up
Paper - My Minds Eye

Thanks for stopping by today!
