I have had the Sizzix "Ornate Tri-Fold" die for a long time, and probably have only made two cards with it. I do however, use it a LOT to make Gift Card Holders.
I used it differently on this one and am happy with how it turned out!
I wanted to use Karen Burniston's Sassy Labels & Stitched Frame dies to add the stitching on the ornate edge - it matches perfectly! The stitch line was highlighted with chalks and a pencil to make it really pop.
The holly paper strips have foiled elements, and the heart on the fussy cut snowman is also foiled. I added a button and twine to the center point.
As you unfold the gift card holder, the inside shows a tall foiled tree!
When Karen Burniston revealed her new Snippets Collection I was really excited about the Gift Card Holder die set. Now that I have my hands on it (thanks Karen B) it does NOT disappoint! I cut it out of coordinating patterned Kraft paper, and added one of the Sassy Label Stitched Framelits in the center. Again, I highlighted the stitched lines to make them really stand out.
A foiled, fussy cut heart was added in the center and it was ready to insert the gift card.
Finally I packaged it up in a clear plastic bag and it's ready to give over the holidays!
Supplies used:
Ornate Tri Fold card die - Sizzix
Patterned Paper - Recollections
Gift Card Holder die - Karen Burniston (Sizzix)
Sassy Labels and Stitched Frames - Karen Burniston (Sizzix)
Button - my stasy
Twine - Papertrey Ink
I see that I never did add a label for "Gift Cards", but I've remedied that now. Any that I make from here on will show up under that label.
