Christmas Card In A Box and a Puppy Gift

Good morning friends

Today's share is the Christmas card I made for friends and hand delivered along with a coordinating little gift for their furry kids. After the photos were taken, I penned our message on the back circle.

This is a card that looks way better in real life, when the light catches the gold foiled bits on the patterned paper.

I packaged it in a clear envelope - and in this photo you get a better look at the foiled bits.

I actually use the 'Get A Handle On It' die often, but don't usually take photos. This time I remembered. I packaged up some treats in a clear envelope decorated with Washi Tape, then added the patterned paper topper and tag.

Supplies:
Card In a Box die - The Stamps of Life
Patterned paper - DCWV
White card stock
Ring Accordion (scallop circle), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Candy Cane Stickers - Jolee's Boutique
Accordion Circle (circle), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
7018 Glitter Dots - Elizabeth Craft Designs
8530 Snowflake Peel-Off's - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Clear Pinecone Sticker - my stash
Bakers Twine

C4C325 - Spring Themed (St. Patrick's Day 4 cards)

Good morning friends

It's Saturday, and that means a new challenge on the Crazy4Challenges BlogFebruary's hostess is Peggy McCurry and the Guest Designer is Vicki Dutcher at allidoisstamp.blogspot.com

Here is Peggy's Challenge:
Spring is just around the corner, so let's see some Spring themed cards. For those of you "down under", feel free to do an Autumn themed card.

It's time to send the Grandkids a Love Note, so I thought I'd also make some to send next month as well and these adorable stickers got me started. I recently purchased a couple of Els' Fitted Frames (Elizabeth Craft Designs) and I'm having so much fun with them!

I cut the Curvy Ovals from white card stock, chose the ones I wanted to use and inked them with green die inks. The clouds were inked using one of Karen Burniston's new Stage-it Stencils, Partly Cloudy. Considering I'm a 'stencil newbie', that one is sure getting a work-out!

Check out the C4C blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge. We'd sure love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C325.

Supplies:
Blueprints #1 - My Favorite Things
White card stock
Patterned paper - American Crafts
Stickers - Doodlebug Designs
1112 Fitted Frames 4, Curvy Ovals - Elizabeth Craft Designs
1114 Fitted Ovals - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Fun foam
Partly Cloudy Stage it Stencil - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Washi Tape - Doodlebug Designs.

Card size - A2

Sympathy Flip-It

Good morning friends

It's Flip-It Friday here on my blog, and I have a Z-fold card to share today that I sent to a friend when her cat died. Chloe was a beautiful cat who they'd taken in as a stray. She had quite the personality and was into mischief quite often so I didn't want to make a subdued sympathy card. I used the Spiral Circle Pull Card, a Pop it Ups die by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Supplies:
Spiral Circle Pull Card, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Clock & Gears (large circle), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Accordion Circle (circles and scallop circle), Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Patterned paper - Basic Grey
Sticker - Jolees
Pan Pastels Kit #1 - Elizabeth Craft Designs

Embossed Birthday Cards

Good morning friends

It's Throwback Thursday here on my blog and I have a group of older birthday cards to share that I donated to Seniors Secret Service.

The burgundy panels were cut from an embossed 12 x 12" sheet of card stock, and swiped with a silver pigment ink pad.

Inside I used some Peel-Off's that were (and still are) in my stash.

Maui Accordion Birthday Card

Hello friends

Instead of cramming a Zentangle tile at the end of random card posts, I have started a new blog called Altered Zen. If you are interested in m Zentangle journey, you can view my art there.

Today's share is a birthday card for a friend. A friend who says all the time, that Maui is her happy place. Hubby & I went to Hawaii last month, and met up with these friends in Maui for a couple of days. While the hubbies golfed, she and I enjoyed her resort - which just happened to be having a bazaar type sale along the ocean.

She bought a tee shirt with the 'Maui is my Happy Place' logo on it, and the fellow gave us each a sticker with the same saying. Ha, I knew immediately I would use it for her birthday card. This hobby allows us to create personalized cards, so while this is an odd card for most people I know she is going to LOVE it.

I used the Accordion Rectangle and Palm Tree & Pail sets by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. The trees and card bases were stencilled with one of Karen B's new Stage it Stencils as well. Below is the card closed and ready to put in the envelope.

And here it is open! I stamped some flowers and fussy cut them for a pop of colour.

While we were in Hawaii, I found this little pad of Sticky Notes, so they went into the envelope as well.

Supplies:
Blue card stock - Stampin' Up
Accordion Rectangle, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Swirly Flourish Stage it Stencil - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
Sticker - Maui

C4C 324 Sketch Card

Good morning friends

It's Saturday, and that means a new challenge on the Crazy4Challenges BlogFebruary's hostess is Peggy McCurry and the Guest Designer is Vicki Dutcher at allidoisstamp.blogspot.com

Here is Peggy's sketch for this week's Sketch Challenge:

And here is my card. I really like this layout, in fact - I purchased a Blueprints die set last Spring so I could use it more often and easily. When I was finished the card though, it just looked like it needed something else and once I added the little flags at the top right I was happier with the card. The dimensional fuzzy bunny sticker is SO cute!

Check out the C4C blog to see how the Crazies have been inspired by the challenge. We'd sure love to see your take on it, so be sure to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and link up your creations. If you are uploading to an online gallery, please use the keyword C4C324.

Supplies:

I used the cake from the new Cake Pop-Up to decorate the front of the Oval Pull Card. Baker the Beaver is wearing a Chef's hat and is peeking out from behind the oval.

Bee Mine Valentine and a Zentangle Tile

Good morning friends

I still have Valentine's to share! This is one that I made for my parents to give Zachary. The cute little bee was made last year when I was experimenting with the Silk Microfine Glitter over stamped images. There was a little wrinkle in the adhesive, but it still turned out pretty cute so I decided to keep it as Zachary won't notice that wrinkle.

I'm also sharing my Zentangle tile #10

Supplies:
Bee - The Alley Way Stamps
Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter - Elizabeth Craft Designs
White card stock
Elizabeth Craft Designs Clear Double Sided Tape - 2-1/2" width

Anniversary Pull Card

Good morning friends

I have a shimmery Anniversary card to share today, using the Hanging Charm Pull Tab die by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. I also added gold Peel-Off's to the pretty pearlized card stock. The 'pull' piece is actually the label for the included coffee cup charm, turned upside down.

This is a flat, post-card style card so I like to decorate the back a little too.

Supplies:
Hanging Charm Pull Tab, Pop it Ups - Karen Burniston (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
White card stock
Patterned paper - DCWV
0377 Peel Off's - used negative pieces also - Elizabeth Craft Designs
